Rare Tea Infusions

Recently, our friends over at Rare Tea Cellars in Chicago sent us a goodie bag of epic proportions, bags and bags of tea blends that held true to their namesake. In the spirit of creation and collaboration, Alex Day set right to pairing Rare Teas Cellars favorite appurtenance with ours, booze. With the experiments came, among others, three beautiful infusions.

Lapsong Tequila

Ingredients:

• 100 grams Siembra Azul Reposado Tequila

• 1 gram Rare Tea Cellar  ‘RTC #33 LTD Edition Forbidden Forest Lapsang Souchong Tea’

Process:

1. Combine

2. Agitate

3. Let sit for: 30 minutes

4. Strain

5. Bottle

Passion Fruit Green Tea Rum

Ingredients:

• 100 grams Caña Brava Rum

• 1 gram Rare Tea Cellar “Passion Fruit Green”

Process:

1. Combine

2. Agitate

3. Let sit for: 20 minutes

4. Strain

5. Bottle

Bourbon Vanilla Chai Carpano Antica

Ingredients:

• 100 grams Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth (chilled during trial)

• 2 grams Rare Tea Cellars Bourbon Vanilla Chai

Process:

1. Combine

2. Agitate

3. Allow to sit for: 25 minutes

4. Strain

5. Bottle
